Our purpose:
Know God
Everything begins with knowing God. At Beach Church, we believe that knowing God is not simply about information but about encountering Him personally. We gather for worship, prayer, and the teaching of Scripture so that people can discover who God is and experience His presence. Through the proclamation of the Gospel, the rhythms of worship, and the life of the Church, we invite people into a real relationship with the living God. Whether someone is exploring faith for the first time or has followed Christ for many years, our heart is that every person would come to know God more deeply.
Grow in God
Faith is not meant to remain where it began. Once we know God, we are called to grow in Him. At Beach Church, we pursue spiritual growth through discipleship, community, and service. We study Scripture together, pray together, and walk alongside one another as we learn to follow Jesus more faithfully in everyday life. Through teaching, small groups, ministry teams, and shared life in the church family, we encourage one another to mature in faith, develop spiritual gifts, and become people whose lives are continually being shaped by Christ.
Show God
As we know God and grow in Him, our faith naturally moves outward. We believe that the love of Christ is meant to be visible in the way we live, serve, and care for others. At Beach Church, we seek to show God to the world around us through acts of compassion, hospitality, and service within our church and throughout our community. From caring for one another in times of need to engaging in outreach and mission, we want our lives to reflect the goodness and grace of God so that others may see His love in action.
Our Core Values
Discipleship
We are dedicated to training men and women of all ages to live for Jesus. By dedicating ourselves to the teachings of Scripture, God's word has primacy over our lives.
Fellowship
We take advantage of community. As we grow in the Lord, we strengthen our relationship with one another, and enjoy every opportunity we have to do so. This includes promoting the growth of the entire family as the Holy Spirit empowers.
Thanksgiving
As we experience God's grace, we gather to give thanks as the ultimate expression of our worship.
Prayer
We build our lives, filled with unexpected changes, on the rhythms of Daily prayer. In His mercy, God hears our prayers.
Our Beliefs
The Father
God the Father is the first Person of the Holy Trinity, from whom the Son is eternally begotten and the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds. (Psalm 104; John 1:1, 14; 15:26; 1 Corinthians 2:10–16; 1 Peter 1:10–12; Nicene Creed)
The Son
Jesus Christ is the eternal Word and Son of God, the second Person of the Holy Trinity. He took on human nature to be the Savior and Redeemer of the world, the only Mediator between God and fallen humanity. (Psalm 2; Malachi 3:1; John 1:1–18; Philippians 2:5–11; 1 Timothy 2:5–6)
The Holy Spirit
God the Holy Spirit is the third Person in the one Being of the Holy Trinity, coequal and coeternal with God the Father and God the Son, and equally worthy of our honor and worship. (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 104:30; Matthew 17; 28:19; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Scriptures
Holy Scripture is “God’s Word written” (Articles of Religion, 20), given by the Holy Spirit through prophets and apostles as the revelation of God and his acts in human history, and is therefore the Church’s final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (Psalm 19:7–11; Jeremiah 36:1–8; 2 Timothy 3:14–17; Revelation 1:1–11)
The Church
The Church is the whole community of faithful Christians in heaven and on earth, called and formed by God into one people. The Church on earth gathers to worship God in Word and Sacrament, to serve God and neighbor, and to proclaim the Gospel to the ends of the earth. (Exodus 19:4–6; Psalm 22:22–23; Matthew 28:19–20; Ephesians 2:11–22; 1 Peter 2:4–10; Articles of Religion, 19)
