BEACHCHURCH
In the Vibe Creative District
Rector | Rev. Jimmy and Mrs. Selina Brockway
Jimmy, Selina, and a group of five families helped relaunch the BEACHCHURCH in 2013. Before relaunching the BEACHCHURCH, they served as Children's Pastors for three years in Virginia and Ohio. Jimmy served as the National Youth and Christian Education Director for the International Pentecostal Church of Christ. During their relaunch, Jimmy felt a call to historic faith traditions, which led him to seek ordination in the Anglican Church in North America, and he is currently ordained in the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic.
Family is important to them, as they both come from military homes where they had to stick together no matter what. Individually, God blessed them with their four children, who are passionate about life and living for God. Liberty Rose, Jolene Elizabeth, James William, and Reagan Justice bring a collective energy that encourages others.
Jimmy is working through his Doctor of Ministry degree, and Selina is pursuing a counseling degree. They both recognize the need for continued growth and are always up for new challenges. Jimmy has authored numerous books, and the proceeds have helped build churches in Peru. As an adjunct professor of theology, he endeavors to present the gospel with accuracy and integrity. Once Selina finishes her counseling degree, she will lead Refuge Counseling Center as a church ministry.

Associate Rector | Rev. Jessica Fulton Lee
The Rev. Jessica Fulton Lee is a priest in the Anglican Church of North America’s Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic and serves as an associate rector at Beach Church in Virginia Beach. She is married to Dr. Evan Joseph Lee, an engineer, civil servant, and musician, and they have an adopted adult daughter, Kayleigh. Their home is shared with two beloved dogs, Charity Belle and Zechariah, and a cat named Ludwig.
Jessica is a 2006 distinguished graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time at VMI, she encountered Christ and accepted a call to ordained ministry. She earned her Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2010 and was ordained a priest in 2012. Jessica has completed Clinical Pastoral Education residencies at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center and the Hampton Roads VA Medical Center, later serving as a hospice chaplain before being missionally placed in Virginia Beach’s animal rescue community. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Theology and Ministry at Northwind Theological Seminary, focusing on Romantic Theology and the works of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
For nearly fifteen years, Jessica served as an associate pastor at the Church of the Redeemer in Camden, NC, contributing to children’s ministry, preaching, event planning, and leadership transitions. She has embraced a bi-vocational calling, combining traditional parish ministry with community outreach. Alongside Evan, she continues to minister to the animal rescue community while serving at Beach Church.
Jessica is a narrative preacher who delights in exploring the power of stories within the greater Story of God’s grace through Jesus Christ. She and Evan share a love for animals, learning, reading, music, cooking, Lego, theme parks, and serving the Lord with joy.

Children's Director | Gianella La Torre
Gianella (Gigi) has attended BEACHCHURCH since she was a teenager. Her passion for others and love for God have always been evident. In May of 2021, she graduated from Wave Leadership College and was inducted into the national honor society as the only student in her class to accomplish that honor. She graduated from Regent University with her Bachelor's Degree in Counseling in 2024 and is consecutively working on two Master's degrees in counseling and ministry.
As a leader, Gigi loves people and is a consistent champion for everyone she meets. She loves to serve, teach God's Word, and encourage children to see their uniqueness.
Gigi embodies encouragement and has a light that draws people in. Her vibrant personality and excitement for life draw children in and create a safe and fun environment for teaching God’s Word.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends on her days off. You will often find her smiling for the camera and being the life of the party.
Ultimately, her desire to show God's love pours into her devotion to family and friends and her service to the church. We love her deeply.
Two of her favorite Bible verses are:
For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! (Romans 8:18)
We love, because He first loved us. (1 John 4:19)
